I’m passionate about strengthening others’ writing–be it creative, academic, or technical–so they might better connect with the audience they’re trying to reach. My editing experience has included theses, dissertations, articles, technical reports, short stories, and blog posts, though I’m open to working with any genre.
The services you can expect from me will depend on your unique needs, but may include:
- Ensuring correct punctuation, grammar, and spelling
- Ensuring consistency in formatting and usage
- Improving syntax by tightening language, rewording for clarity, flagging overused words or phrases that can be diversified, etc.
- Developmental feedback (e.g., of pacing, characterization, structure, flow, tone, etc.)
- Comparison of in-text and end citations
- Review of in-text and end citations in MLA, CMOS, or APA formats
My turnaround time is dependent on the depth of editing required, but on average will be 3-4 days per 10,000 words.
