Whatever your reason for being here, thanks so much for dropping by! The Upper Peninsula of Michigan has been my home for over ten years and has been the setting for many chapters of my life. By day, I’m the Communications Coordinator for the Schoolcraft Conservation District in Manistique, MI; by night, I’m a writer and freelance editor, communications strategist, and graphic designer. If you’re interested in my services, please feel free to see more details here or contact me directly at saraesolberg@gmail.com.
Other odds and ends: I have strong opinions about octopuses, messenger bags, and Marvel movies. I love knitting and jigsaws and otherwise pretending to be eighty-four. My favorite punctuation mark is the em-dash, and I use it with abandon. My latest personal project has been renovating my 100-year-old home, which I tore down to the studs and have been slowly rebuilding; I am, unfortunately, now quite good at drywall mudding. My work has appeared or is forthcoming in The Pinch, the minnesota review, X-R-A-Y, Hippocampus, and elsewhere. A full list of my publications can be found here.
